My ‘student days" time-line:
1. Swam & played water polo 1962-69.
2. Received several half blues & blues for swimming/water polo, captain water polo 1966-68, represented Scottish Universities 1967-8.
3. Member of University Spartans Club from 1965, Vice President 1968.
4. Member of KB Committee 1967-69 and reintroduced dances & draught beer (big attraction).
5. I was most fortunate to gain SRC funding to do a PhD under Dr Duncan Taylor – thesis on-line.
6. Career in industry, primarily product development, manufacture, application and sales for process control in water
and oil/gas treatment to the Oil & Gas Exploration, Production and Transmission Industry.
7. Fellowship of the RSC & Energy Institute.
8. Chairman Of National Association of Corrosion Engineers UK Section ~ 1998.
9. Living in retirement in Lymington, Hampshire.
