John Henderson Knox was born in Edinburgh on 21st October 1927 and died peacefully at home in Edinburgh on 15th October 2019, aged 90.
He was Professor Emeritus at Edinburgh University for many years with his personal Chair in Physical Chemistry. He was a world authority in gas- and liquid chromatography.
