CV for Howard Everett
Since graduating in 1966 the following things seem to have happened to me.
Before graduating I was already signed up as an apprentice accountant at Graham, Smart and Annan in Charlotte Square, thanks to the help of Alasdair Rankin. One of our jobs was on the quayside in Fraserburgh which possibly encouraged me to think of foreign languages.
In 1969 married Margot MacDonell formerly from Creagan Inn, Appin who was at Moray House.
In 1971 qualified as an accountant and went to Price Waterhouse in Copenhagen. Danish is a very foreign language.
During the 4 years we spent in Copenhagen our son Andrew was born in 1973. Margot worked at the International School and I worked all over Denmark with odd trips to Sweden.
In 1975 we discovered that our second child Kirsten was on her way so we returned to the UK. Our daughter was born in early 1976.
We ended up in the West Midlands, where I have worked for several companies mainly in the area of supply to the construction industry. Most of these jobs involved a fair degree of travelling to some interesting places.
Since retirement in 2004 I have done several temporary jobs mainly in Scandinavia but have been fully retired since 2008.
My interests include Scandinavian Literature, low level French classes, flying, bridge, swimming and travelling. We also have grandchildren - two in Guernsey and one in London.
