February 2020 - Obituary - Robin Stirling
 
John Mowat Miller (Robin) Stirling died on 5th February 2020.
   He was the first secretary of the Radio Club in 1949-50, but was never licensed.
GM3PSP visited him in West Linton about 2012 and he provided interesting history and photographs which are in the History section of this website.

July 2017 - New book by Alister Mitchell GM3UDL-SK:

The Bruin Communications System

Alister was working on his second book - The Bruin Communications System - about military communications by the British Army on the Rhine in the 1960s-80s - when he sadly died in 2012. It has now (2017) been completed by his son Stephen with help from Chris Jones G(M)8GFB. It is available from Lulu.com .

 

Alister also published his first book - Technology for Artillery Location, 1914-1970 - in 2012 and also available from Lulu.com .

This was a first little reunion of people living in Edinburgh. It was a chance to see how we had aged / survived and catch up on our Amateur Radio exploits. Several people brought valuable archival photos and documents which have been uploaded to this website - thanks!
