This Radio Room photo with members grouped around Tom GM3BCD was published on the front page of the Weekly Scotsman, No. 5166, vol.99, May 31st, 1958. A party of Russian students had been visiting the school and one of them agreed to try to contact Watson's over the air from the Moscow University radio club. It's not recorded whether a QSO was achieved!
